All divans are available with optional drawers adding convenient storage. Simply changing the headboard on an existing divan can significantly alter the appearance of a bed. Mattresses

Memory Foam:

Reacting to your body temperature, memory foam changes its shape to provide greater support and more comfort than other mattresses. The memory foam is temperature sensitive, which helps the mattress material respond to your body.

A good way to decide whether the mattress is right for you is to check its ILD (Indentation Load Deflection) rating, which indicates the amount of softness or hardness in the foam. The ILD rating is based on the amount of pressure needed to indent four inches of foam by 25%. For example, a mattress with a 15lb ILD rating indicates that 15lbs of pressure is needed to indent the foam by 25%. So this means that the higher the ILD rating, the firmer the mattress.

The memory range from Mundy's Bed Centre features open coil & pocket springs with various depths of memory foam fillings. All products feature soft touch knitted luxurious fabric with additional polyester hypoallergenic fillings. All mattresses have stitched borders and are suitable for Metal/Pine Bedstead. All bases are in one generic base fabric, so one base for all the models. Bases feature double castors with linking bars. This whole range features no turn mattresses.

Pocket Spring:

This type of mattress is more luxurious than an open coil as each spring is housed in individual pockets, which means they work independently to respond uniquely to a user's weight. These type of mattresses are perfect for when you and your partner are of a different size and often minimise the "rolling into the middle" effect.

With pocket sprung mattresses the spring count is an important figure to consider. They vary from approximately 600 springs per 5ft mattress to 2000 springs per 5ft mattress however the more there are then the better the support. If you are someone who likes to sleep on their side then pocket sprung mattresses could be the most comforting option to you. The position of the body when you sleep on your side puts different amounts of pressures onto your spine and with the individual springs your whole body is supported.

Using high quality Belgian damask fabrics & soft knit fabrics, all these models offer a practical & affordable entry in to the latest generation of beds with the added benefit of craftsmanship of the highest level. All Mattresses feature stitched borders with handles & vents. All bases feature single castors with linking bars.
